Glad you enjoyed the visit to Ireland, Mara. I have to agree with you about being made feel normal when asking for the gluten free options in restaurants in Ireland. I’ve travelled a lot elsewhere in Europe, and I’ve found asking for GF food to be a risky business, even in London UK! Back home in Ireland the condition is well understood, and thanks to the Coeliac Society of Ireland restaurants are able to get advice on how to serve great tasting safe food to Celiacs. Hope you come back some time!

  5. Great video Mara! I have been putting off overseas travel and even research for years now even though I am a gluten-free blogger. I look forward to watching more.

    Hi Mara,

Well, we are so excited about our new Gluten-Free Certification Program (GFCP), which is actually owned and endorsed the Canadian Celiac Association (CCA). Now when you travel initially to Canada and eventually other countries, you can look and ask for the GFCP mark to receive the added assurance that products displaying this certification mark only have met the stringent Health Canada regulation on gluten and further, gone through the added rigours of a third-party GF management system audit.
