Mara’s Oh-So-Delicious Sweet Tropical Sorbet
Gluten-free, Casein-free, and perfect for a warm summer’s day! I used my Cuisinart ice cream maker for this. I love it because I don’t have to use any rock salts….it is so easy:)
2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh or frozen peeled mangoes
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
3/4 cup Truvia/Stevia or your choice of natural sweetener
Pinch of table salt
2 cups water
Combine water and Truvia in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook for 5 minutes or until Truvia is fully dissolved. Put sweet water mixture in a blender. Add salt, strawberries, mangoes, and blueberries to blender. Blend until smooth. Strain the mixture with a fine mesh strainer in order to remove the seeds. Cover and put in fridge for 2-3 hrs, or overnight.
Using a Cuisinart ice cream maker, pour the mixture into the freezer bowl and let mix for approx 20 minutes. Sorbet will have a creamy and soft texture. If you want a firmer sorbet, then place the sorbet in an airtight container and freeze for another 2 hours.
Put in a totally awesome bowl and enjoy every bite:)
